LEARN

Location: Greece

At Global Family Travels, we believe travel is most meaningful when it deepens our understanding of the places we visit and the people we meet. Learning goes beyond sightseeing—it invites us to ask questions, engage with local perspectives, and discover the stories, traditions, and environments that shape each destination.

Throughout our journey, archaeological sites, museums, local experts, and community members become living classrooms where students explore how Greece's ancient civilizations continue to influence modern society. Each experience is designed to foster curiosity, broaden our perspective, and create meaningful connections with Greece's rich history, cultural heritage, and living traditions.

Students will examine the origins of democracy in Athens, the spiritual significance of Delphi and Meteora, and the cultural traditions that continue to shape communities throughout Epirus. Through conversations with historians, conservationists, artisans, farmers, and local residents, they'll develop a deeper understanding of cultural heritage, environmental stewardship, and the interconnectedness of people and place. These experiences encourage curiosity, cross-cultural understanding, and a broader global perspective.

SERVE

Location: Greece

At Global Family Travels, we believe travel has the power to create positive change. Serving is reflected in the way we travel. By traveling with purpose, supporting local communities, respecting cultural traditions, and contributing to the well-being of the places we visit, we create meaningful, lasting connections that enrich both travelers and the communities that welcome us.

Throughout our journey in Greece, we'll support family-owned businesses, learn from local artisans, beekeepers, cheesemakers, and local experts, and engage with organizations dedicated to preserving the country's natural and cultural heritage.   Throughout this program, students will meet organizations and community members dedicated to preserving Greece's cultural and natural heritage. During the CALLISTO Wildlife Coexistence Field Visit, they'll learn how conservationists partner with local farmers to protect both biodiversity and rural livelihoods in the Pindus Mountains. By supporting family-owned businesses, women's cooperatives, local artisans, and sustainable agricultural producers, students gain firsthand insight into how tourism can strengthen local economies while helping preserve traditions for future generations.

IMMERSE

Location: Greece

At Global Family Travels, we believe the most meaningful journeys invite us to experience a destination as participants rather than observers. Immersing ourselves means approaching each place with curiosity, humility, and respect, recognizing that every conversation, shared meal, and cultural tradition is an invitation to better understand one another and develop a deeper connection to the places we visit.

REFLECT

Location: Greece
Meaningful travel doesn't end when an activity is over. Throughout the program, students are encouraged to reflect on their experiences through discussion, journaling, photography, and group conversations. Reflection helps students connect classroom concepts with real-world experiences while considering how the people, places, and perspectives they encounter can shape their understanding of global citizenship, sustainability, and their own role in creating positive change.
