Global Family Travels is passionate about creating community-based, family-friendly trips that are truly meaningful, encouraging travellers of all ages to become citizens of the world and stewards of the environment. (And, fun fact: Global Family Travels’ roots began in India in 2010, and our original name is Paravati Family Travel, after the Hindu Goddess who represents positive change!)
Guided by our three travel pillars of “Learn, Serve & Immerse,” we partner with local and global non-profit partners to develop Expand-Your-Family Circle adventures that offer travellers the opportunity to connect with local people, cultures and the natural beauty of the destinations we visit. Whether it is a one-day community adventure in the Seattle area, a customized journey or a small group global adventure, our journeys feature a unique mix of cultural and educational activities, as well as community engagement to help make a positive impact on the lives of people and natural habitats where we visit.
At Global Family Travels we believe that the most powerful way to learn is through first-hand experience. We let the country and its people be your teachers and supplement your experiences with reading lists, informal discussions, and a pre-trip orientation which includes information on the culture and history of your host country, helpful words, and phrases, and cultural “do’s and don’ts”.

During your trip, you are being of service by visiting our non-profit partners and engaging with and supporting locals and the various communities we work with! We will be working with Kanta Elephant Sanctuary and learning about how to care for the elephants by feeding them their favorite snacks, bathing them and learning about their personalities.
Once you learn more about the other organizations doing impactful work, feel free to contribute further to their work.

You will be immersed in the welcoming communities and culture of Thailand and visits outside of the country's main tourist attractions.
You will immerse yourself and get an authentic glimpse into Thai domestic life. At a traditional Thai Lanna house, you will become an honorary family member for the day, participate in basket-to-garden practices and handpick fresh ingredients from their family orchard, featuring fruits like banana, mango, and coconut.
Beyond typical commercial cooking classes, this experience offers a genuine connection as you become an honorary guest for the day.
Ngorn Nak National Park, also known as Dragon Crest Mountain, is a premier hiking destination in Krabi, Thailand, located near Tubkaek Beach. The 3.7-kilometer trail offers a challenging yet rewarding hike with diverse terrains, including steep sections with wooden staircases and fixed ropes. Hikers often encounter wildlife such as lizards, skinks, and occasionally monkeys. The summit provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Krabi coastline, the Andaman Sea, Phi Phi Island, and Krabi Mountain. The park, accessible daily, is best visited early in the morning to avoid the midday heat.
Carbon Removal: According to the State of Global Carbon Dioxide Removal Report by University of Oxford, natural methods of removing carbon from the atmosphere are not enough by themselves due to the amount of pollution currently in the atmosphere. Innovations in removing and permanently storing carbon emissions are needed to conserve nature and reverse the course toward further climate change.
Tomorrow’s Air: Global Family Travels is passionate about encouraging tourism that is not only sustainable but regenerative. To help with our mission, we seek to partner with like-minded brands such as Tomorrow’s Air, which operates within the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA).
Tomorrow’s Air is a collective of carbon removal innovators that work to permanently remove and store carbon from the atmosphere. Travel is a large contributor to global emissions, and we feel it is important to educate and empower travelers to support efforts that combat climate change! Clients can opt-in for a $25 donation to Tomorrow’s Air through the payment page.
